This vast hiking area is known for its varied forested hills with conspicuous rockformations , ridges with beautiful views.The "montagne de la Loube" (830m.), the "Roc de Candelon" (647m.) and the "Barre de St.Quinis" (636m.) are some of the preferred hiking destinations mentionned in the proposed one-day hikes.

The "Barre de Cuers" is a limestone ridge (750m.), steep on the south-side and gently sloping on the north-side with beautiful views on both sides; the "Massif de la Sainte Baume" has impressive rock formations (highest point 1.147m.), lime plateaux with panoramic views and a very special and varied forest situated below the scarp of its northflank in which the legendary sanctuary of Marie Madeleine is situated.
